History of SIMT

The Stuttgart Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT) is an international business school and advanced education institute of the Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin (SHB). In 1998 SIMT was founded on the initiative of a number of renowned global players headquartered in the Stuttgart area, among them Bosch, DaimlerChrysler, Hewlett-Packard, Siemens and Trumpf.

As a graduate school of management under the roof of the Steinbeis University Berlin (SHB), SIMT focuses on postgraduate Master Programs (MBA, MSc, MBE,...). General managers require a broad set of skills to pursue their careers. Consequently, the SIMT Master Programs have a strong base in technology and innovation management as well as in international management.

The SIMT programs focus on hands-on management know-how and on integral business strategies as well as the training of team player abilities and decision-making competencies.

The degrees are fully recognized by the German educational authorities. While having a firm foundation in industry and the region, SIMT has an international focus. The course contents and teaching materials are international.

The study programs are offered as Project Competence Programs, i.e. students work within a German or international company while studying at SIMT. For more information please visit: Project Competence Concept of Steinbeis University Berlin.
