PCS stands for Project-Competence-Studies ? the unique study concept of Steinbeis-University Berlin. Central to the program is the conception and implementation of an entrepreneurial project: Regardless of whether a student has just recently started a job or is already one of the organization's high-potentials, he/she is given a "study project" by a "business mentor". Business mentors are typically the student's immediate/executive supervisors or managers. Considering the students' daily field of work, business mentors identify one or more areas of interest that are challenging their own current business or management environment and allow the students to take these challenges to their studies. These subjects function as real case studies or in SIBE's wording: study projects.
The lecturers usually have a background in research, consulting and a lot of professional experience. They guarantee that current management know-how and latest knowledge from research as well as innovative concepts are conveyed within the seminars and thus can be integrated in business practice. This is why this study concept links career and corporate success in an intelligent way.
